Leave San Francisco before sunrise for a 14-hour minibus trip to Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Grove. You’ll walk beneath giant sequoias, stop at Tunnel View, Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls, then return by hotel drop-off. Guides such as Derek, Trevor, Kurt, and Steven add commentary, videos, and photo help.

“A long day but a very rich and enjoyable tour, with lots of interesting local history and stories shared along the drive. It’s a convenient way to see the main highlights of the park without the stress of driving or planning. I’m giving 4 stars because there was subtle 20% tipping pressure through jokes and hints — a clearer expectation upfront in the tour description would feel more transparent and comfortable. Ultimately, the pay arrangement is between the company and the employee. It's optional to show gratitude and empathy, but the pressure should not be transferred to guests. The ticket price for each person is already higher than other tours,…”

Alcatraz Tour Plus Muir Woods and Sausalito Day Trip

4.Alcatraz Tour Plus Muir Woods and Sausalito Day Trip

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 1,194 reviews · 7 hours 30 minutes (approx.) · from $159

Start with a guided coach ride across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods and Sausalito, then visit Alcatraz independently with ferry transport and the award-winning Cellhouse audio tour. You get about 90 minutes among redwoods, one hour in Sausalito, and roughly two hours on Alcatraz. The bus ends at Pier 33, so plan your own way home.

“The trip was great but we didn't have enough time in Sausalito. We really wanted to do the Alcatraz portion first, followed by Muir Woods and then Sausalito so we wouldn't be rushed, but it was booked. It was nice to do Muir Woods in the morning because it wasn't as crowded. When they dropped us off for the Alcatraz tour they sort of just "dump you off" and send you on your way. It was a little confusing to get the tickets and frustrating to be in the lines with all the people when we already paid. The tour company should give you the tickets to get on Alcatraz…”
