Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Jerusalem

1.Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Jerusalem

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 757 reviews · from $111Our pick

Spend about nine hours traveling from Jerusalem through the Judean Desert to Masada and the Dead Sea. Ride the cable car to Herod’s mountaintop ruins, hear the site’s dramatic story from a local guide, and float in the mineral-rich water. Guides may include Dorit, Orion, Michael, Erez, Mati, or Dan Porges.

“I was impressed by our tour guide, Dorit. Her passion for her work and the destinations she showcased was evident throughout the tour. The tour itself has room for improvement. The Dead Sea beach was a bit of let down. Too small for a swim, the facility not great. I also found that I needed to be picked up by 7.55am but the actual tour didn't start until 9am, waiting at the city view cafe, was a bit of waste of time. Other than these, it was a well organised tour and I did enjoy the day.”
